Dan Davidson

Dan is new to the country scene but he is FAR from a new artist. He spent 10 years playing in the well-known Canadian indie rock band Tupelo Honey (who had several top 40 hits, top charting iTunes records and toured with bands like Bon Jovi).

On the advice of industry friends (2 of the top selling Canadian Country superstars), Dan decided to start focusing on his new country project. He has been able to lean on some of the industry’s most well-know names to help guide the launch of his country career. His highly anticipated country debut peaked the interest of Big Valley Jamboree promoters, Panhandle Productions, who booked Dan for this first show in front of 10,000 screaming fans at BVJ 2015.

Dan’s sound came together as he started writing and working on music with Toronto producer Jeff Dalziel (Alee, Andrew Hyatt, Autumn Hill, Brett Kissel, Washboard Union) and the two spent the better part of a year developing an EP that’s characteristic of Dan’s love of “good time” music. From there the “good times” kept rolling for Dan as he signed a big publishing deal with the wellknown Toronto based music publisher Red Brick Songs. The lead single “Unkiss Her” (co-written by Jeff Dalziel and Karen Kosowski) is just a fun and light-hearted song about a guy trying to guide his friend away from the girl who you just can’t “un-kiss”. The single dropped in July 2015 and received notable coast to coast radio play.

Dan JUST released his 2nd single to country radio “Found” (co-written by Clayton Bellamy of The Road Hammers) and has solidified himself as one of the most exciting indie acts to watch as the song skyrocketed up the charts to the #54 position in 4 weeks (and is still rising). Found” was retired the champion of the Hot Country Challenge on JRFM in Vancouver and is being played on 35+ radio stations.

You can catch Dan on the road this summer on the festival circuit (including his return to Big Valley Jamboree).
