  • What safety measures can I expect at Taste of Edmonton?

    At Taste of Edmonton, health and safety is our top priority for our patrons, volunteers, staff, and partners. We have worked diligently with Alberta Health Services and the City of Edmonton to adapt to the new environment and increase safety precautions.

    The following health and safety measures will be implemented:

    Reduced capacity
    Hand sanitizing stations throughout the festival site
    Plexiglass at ticket booths, restaurant and beverage booths, and food trucks
    6 foot spacing between restaurant booths and food trucks
    Designated seating areas for food and drink consumption that are regularly disinfected
    Queuing adjustments for physical distancing
    Cashless ticket booths
    Wearing a mask at all times, unless eating or drinking
    Signage throughout the festival site to remind guests how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, as per Alberta Health Services recommendations:

    Stay home and isolate if you’re feeling sick or exhibiting symptoms.
    Wearing a mask in indoor public spaces to limit the risk of spreading to others. As per the City of Edmonton mask bylaw, the use of masks will be required when not consuming food or beverages.
    Practice good hand hygiene with regular hand washing and using hand sanitizer.
    Maintain physical distancing of 2 meters between members of different households or cohort families.

    Yes, the festival site includes a limited capacity, 6 feet spacing between restaurant booths, directional signage, and physical distancing markers.

    Taste of Edmonton has implemented enhanced hygiene and disinfecting protocols:

    Hand sanitizing stations throughout the festival site.
    Plexiglass at ticket booths, restaurant and beverage booths, and food trucks.
    Cleaning Crews to regularly sanitize seatings areas.

    Under the guidance of Alberta Health Services we will continue to implement the appropriate and current safety procedures and protocols before welcoming guests.

Churchill Station is located below the site, and a number of bus stops are just steps away from the Square.     If you have any leftover Taste tickets, you can donate them at the 630 CHED Information Centre or any gate. The funds will then be invested in the Taste of Edmonton Endowment Fund for our community partners.

    The Events Edmonton office accepts cash, credit cards and debit for pre-sales between June 1 and July 21. Only credit and debit are accepted at Taste of Edmonton (July 22 - August 1).
