Taste of Edmonton offers many different opportunities to help out and support the festival. Below you will find what these are all about. Once you know what you are interested in, just fill out the application form at the bottom of the page and the volunteer management team will contact you to provide you with more details and discuss the scheduling. (We receive many applications and it may take a couple of weeks until someone gets back to you. Thank you for your patience).

If you are a minor and confirmed for volunteering at the festival, you will be asked to have your parent fill out the Minor Consent Form.

Below you will find short descriptions and schedules of the many areas that you can volunteer in. Look through our list to find the perfect fit.

Corporate Hosting Assistant
Edmonton companies book the Corporate Hosting venue, to welcome their staff and/or clients to a nice get-together. You are signing in guests, assisting with questions, clearing tables and make guests feel welcome. You have excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. These events take place in the late afternoon and/or in the evening.

Beverage Oasis
For children, designated drivers and those who are just not into beer or wine, we are offering non-alcoholic beverages and,of course, bottled water. In exchange for Taste tickets you will hand out these beverages, re-order supplies, and keep your work area neat and welcoming to festival visitors.

Volunteer Room
“Welcome to Taste of Edmonton”. Your smiley face is the first that your co-volunteers see when they sign in for their shifts. You will advise them, guide them, feed them, keep the whole volunteer headquarter nice and clean – and do a whole lot more. This place fluctuates from being very quiet to suddenly being very busy. That means, you will be required to work under pressure and to be able to switch quickly your speed of action. Good people skills is a must, as you will be working with a large group of people from all different backgrounds.

Count Room
This is at times quite a busy place and can get a bit hectic. You are counting, calculating, reconciling, assisting ticket sellers and more. You will keep it cool and still enjoy the fun about it all. Basic math skills required. Basic accounting knowledge is not required, but may help. We will conduct a background check for this position. Note that this position requires a minimum of 3 shifts.

Information Tent
Where is my favorite restaurant? When does the band start playing? Where can I buy tickets for the special programs? And a zillion more questions that you will hear throughout your shift. You are a friendly, open and welcoming person that loves to assist our patrons. The Information Tent is also the Lost & Found location.

Ticket Ambassador
You are knowledgeable with the Crowdblink ticket App. assisting guests with our NEW way to skip lineups at this year’s festival. By providing a ticket booth in your pocket, attendees can go paperless by downloading the Crowdblink Patron App. The App will allow participants to purchase tickets and use tickets directly from the App. You have excellent people and communication skills and will be knowledgeable to answer any questions related to our new ticket App.
